Listening to these collabs is almost nostalgic, despite how recent they are. Their music speaks for itself – both artists played a HUGE role in influencing today’s self-reflective, somber, and vulnerable hip hop/R&B scene. Cudi’s Man on the Moon exists because of Kanye’s 808’s and Heartbreak, and well, the whole genre as it is today grew out of Cudi’s Man on the Moon. That’s the evolutionary reason why you should be excited (just in case for some odd reason the music doesn’t do it for you).
Their new album, Kids See Ghost, has a June 8th release date.
